We seek a seasoned Sr. Manager Software Engineering - UI, with a strong front-end engineering background to build and lead a world-class team of front-end engineers working on cutting-edge user experiences. This role offers the opportunity to influence the direction of user experience of our cybersecurity products and significantly impact our global customer base.

Responsibilities:

• Build a team of front end platform engineers from ground up, and set them up for success in delivering common UI code across all the product engineering teams.
• Be a champion of the adoption, and extensibility of the platform, and ensure that changes can be made fast without slowing down the product engineering teams.
• Lead the team in building highly reusable, and extensible common UI components in ReactJS, TypeScript.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching and mentorship to the team, promoting engineering best practices and ensuring the highest code quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and software engineers, to define the vision and roadmap for the design system.
• Collaborate closely with the UI/UX design team to ensure the design system meets the needs of the organization and aligns with industry best practices.
• Lead the team to implement and maintain documentation for the UI Platform, including usage guidelines and code examples.
• Continuously improve and optimize the performance, accessibility, and usability of the design system's UI components.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest ReactJS trends, libraries, and tools, and evaluate their potential impact on the design system.
• Foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence within the team, encouraging the exploration of new technologies and approaches.
• Consistently collaborate with other engineering teams to increase the adoption of the UI Platform using various strategies.
• Provide technical guidance to the team that uplevels their engineering practices, and help them maintain and scale the platform at a decent pace.
• Contribute to the overall engineering strategy and roadmap, advocating for the adoption of best practices and emerging technologies.
• Assist in hiring and onboarding new team members, ensuring the team has the necessary skills and resources to meet project goals.

Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a deep understanding of ReactJS and its ecosystem.
• Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams, preferably in the development of design systems or component libraries.
• In-depth knowledge of UI/UX design principles and ability to collaborate effectively with designers.
• Experience in performance optimization, code quality, and testing methodologies for UI components.
• Strong understanding of front-end build tools, package managers, and version control systems (e.g., Webpack/Nx, npm, Git).
• Hands-on experience in coding and implementing UI components using ReactJS, TypeScript.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to find creative solutions to technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts and drive team collaboration.
