Senior Account Manager, San Diego

Schrödinger seeks a Senior Account Manager to join us in our mission to transform the discovery of therapeutics and materials with our digital chemistry platform.

As a member of our Life Sciences Sales team, you’ll grow revenue in your assigned territory, manage renewal and new business opportunities, and engage with diverse stakeholders in R&D, IT, and senior leadership. You’ll also collaborate closely with Schrödinger Applications Scientists, Deployment Managers, and Product Managers.

What you’ll do:

• Create and implement effective strategies to increase revenue in your territory and ensure business objectives are met
• Manage all engagements with assigned accounts, including coordination with cross-functional teams
• Identify and close new software and services opportunities in your territory
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at your accounts 
• Provide client feedback and market insights to internal product managers and scientific support team members
• Maintain accurate sales forecast reporting and client activity tracking in Salesforce

What you should have:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline
• An understanding of the drug discovery process
• Minimum five years experience selling complex scientific software solutions, and a track record of exceeding targets

Actual compensation package is dependent on a number of factors, including, for example, experience, education, degrees held, market data, and business needs.
