About the role
We are searching for an experienced leader to join the Corporate Controller’s team as the Associate Director of Global Consolidations. This position is a cross-functional leadership role responsible for overseeing the global consolidation process and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
The successful candidate must be a strong, decisive, results-oriented person who can provide leadership within the Consolidations team and foster cross-functional partnerships. Strong management, verbal and written communication skills are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the global consolidation process for all subsidiaries and business units, ensuring timely and accurate integration of financial data.
- Lead and manage the consolidation team, providing guidance, mentorship and performance feedback to foster professional growth and high-quality output.
- Prepare, review and analyze consolidated GAAP balance sheets and income statements, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
- Coordinate with regional controllership and finance teams to resolve discrepancies, ensure proper elimination entries and validate intercompany transactions.
- Review consolidated share capital activity and workplans (acquisitions, divestitures, loans, capitalizations, liquidations, mergers, dividends, other) ensuring that all activity is recorded accurately, including coordinating related activities with cross functional departments and local entity accounting teams.
- Identify, develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy and consistency of the consolidation function.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, responding to inquiries and facilitating audit processes related to consolidations.
- Stay current with changes in accounting standards and regulations, assessing their impact on consolidation processes and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with IT and finance systems teams to maintain and optimize consolidation tools and reporting platforms.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- 3+ years of financial reporting experience.
Preferred Qualifications (assets)
Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and global consolidation principles
- Excellent communication skills with the demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of staff and management
- Ability to work independently, self-starter, taking initiative for improvements
- Ability to handle confidential material related to company financial results and disseminate such information with appropriate discretion
- Strong attention to detail
- CPA preferred
- Consolidations experience a plus
- Experience leading a team in a multinational organization a plus
- Proficiency with HFM a plus

Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $143,000.00 - $286,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.Other Compensation
