JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS 

Penn State University Libraries invites applicants for the position of Part-time Evening Library Services Assistant at Penn State Schuylkill’s Ciletti Memorial Library. The person in this position will be a front-line provider of service and support to a diverse student body, as well as faculty, staff, and community borrowers. 

The successful candidate will provide excellent personalized service to all library users, and possess a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. They must also demonstrate superior communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and also independently. Dependability, flexibility, accuracy, and attention to detail are critical to ensuring delivery of high-quality services. Confidence working with web-based applications and Microsoft Office products is expected. 

This position is for approximately 20 hours/week. The selected candidate will work Monday-Thursday and cover the closing shift (until 8pm). Days and hours are subject to change according to library usage patterns and departmental needs (e.g., over breaks and holiday periods).
