Position Overview
The Lacy School of Business seeks applications for a full-time Events Coordinator to project manage LSB events alongside our existing Administrative Team. Those efforts will serve LSB undergraduate recruitment, brand advancement, and business school rankings initiatives. The Coordinator supports the LSB administrative and leadership team and promotes and advances the College’s and the University’s image and reputation. The Coordinator will partner with faculty, staff and university teams in much of this work. This position plays a key role in enhancing the College’s long-term strategic goals, including increasing enrollment and retention of students, faculty, and staff; supporting alumni and donor relations; and improving national reputation. The Events Coordinator reports to the LSB Assistant Dean of Innovation. This position will implement LSB’s events efforts with his/her colleagues, thereby augmenting recruiting and retention efforts.
Responsibilities
Events Management
- Plan and/or collaborate on and execute LSB events (~30/year), attending and monitoring events as needed to ensure success.
- Work with LSB Director of Budgets and Personnel to establish/manage budgets for each event.
- Assist with ordering LSB branded items for LSB events.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, liberal arts, or related.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with other professionals.
- Knowledge of the college admission/recruitment landscape
- Exceptionally strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong project management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience successfully working in a fast-paced environment with complex projects and multiple deadlines.
- Willingness to take on additional tasks as needed.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize.
Preferred Qualifications
- Self-starter, able to think creatively to solve problems.
- Detail oriented with the ability to think creatively to solve problems.
- Proven project management and organizational skills.
- Three + years of relevant professional experience, preferably in higher education.
