This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

Role requirements:

Customer facing:

• Hunting for new data management/storage/AI opportunities with R&D, Product Development Units, and Customer Units

• Customer engagements either alone or with assigned account manager, remote or physical.

• Being capable to position HPE storage (data management/storage/AI) in the context of the overall HPE strategy in front of a customer

• Configure storage systems meeting customer requirements and be creative to propose alternative options or approaches

• Engage in Ericsson data management/storage/AI RFPs responses preparation & presentation as the main technical presales contact

• Prepare and deliver presentations on data management/storage/AI topics and/or arrange presenter from product management or other connected storage community for storage topic in question

• Ready to engage in initiating, leading, and following up with PoCs on new products, both remotely and/or onsite visiting as required

Candidate requirements:

• Hunter mentality

• Experience in designing and implementing IT architectures, including storage for AI environments/workloads

• Knowledge about HPE GreenLake offering, especially data management/storage related

• AI/ML basic knowledge and awareness of HPE activities and solutions around AI/ML topics

• Understanding on OSI networking model, wired and wireless technologies is a plus

• Understanding telecom networks and technologies is a plus for customer communications, although not a must

• Understanding of Ethernet networks, protocols, and operation

• Understanding of Storage Area Networks, protocols, and operation

• Understanding of SAN networks zoning principles and purpose

• Knowledge on main storage protocols (SAS, SCSI, iSCSI, NVMe, NVMe/FC, NVMe/TCP, NFS, SMB, S3, etc)

• Knowledge on HPE SAN switches offering, B-series being the most important

• Understanding different RAID and Erasure coding technologies and use in different HPE and partner storage systems

• Basic knowledge of the entire HPE storage portfolio, including HPE backup, HPE disaster recovery and Ransomware protection solutions

• Good knowledge about HPE NAS offering, including StoreEasy, StoreOnce, GL4F (and VAST data), Ezmeral,

• Understanding and knowledge about HPE Object Storage offering (GL4F, Ezmeral, upcoming GL4O (Home Fleet))

• Understanding differences between bare metal, virtualized and containerized application environments is required

Technical tools and processes:

•  Familiarity with storage sizing tools (Ninja MSA, Ninja STARS, Ninja online (GL4B, GL4F)) and HPE Power Advisor
