JOB PURPOSE

Are you passionate about managing end-to-end procurement for global ocean freight? Do you have extensive experience in logistics and supply chain management, and a drive to make a direct impact on business success? If so, this role is designed for you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for global ocean freight transportation, ensuring alignment with overall supply chain objectives.

• Manage relationships with ocean freight carriers, negotiating contracts and rates to secure the best terms and conditions.

• Monitor and analyze market trends, freight rates, and shipping capacity to make informed procurement decisions.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including logistics, supply chain, and finance teams, to ensure seamless integration of procurement activities.

• Oversee the performance of ocean freight service providers, ensuring compliance with agreed-upon service levels and addressing any issues that arise.

• Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and risk mitigation within the ocean freight procurement process.

• Stay informed about industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices in global ocean freight logistics.

• Prepare and present reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and other key metrics to senior management.
