Position Overview: The Benefits Administrator assists the Account Management team in the day-to-day needs of the business. The job of the BA is to handle the majority of administrative functions for the team, so that the team can operate as efficiently as possible.
Work Arrangement: This is a full-time hybrid opportunity that reports to our office located in Melville, NY.
Professional Responsibilities:
- Preparing marketing materials to be presented to clients, based on Sales and/or Account Managers recommendation, in an accurate and timely manner
- Preparing Benefit Enrollment Guides, and PowerPoint Presentations specific to the client, including personalization of applicable documents as per direction of Account Manager
- Building & customizing online enrollment portals for new clients and upon renewal for existing clients
- Assist clients with day-to-day transactions such as enrollment, terminations, and billing for both clients and their members
- Using tools and systems to enhance the job (i.e., Zywave AgencyBloc, internal database, shared drive, etc.); Updating and creating shared documents, as needed
- Completing post open-enrollment employee eligibility and invoice audits and reporting findings back to Account Manager and/or client
- Pulling SBC’s, plan docs, client bills and other documents from the carrier portals, as requested
- Sending template communication to clients on behalf of the assigned Account Manager. (i.e., 120-day renewal emails, post-renewal audit, etc.)
- Assisting with special projects, as needed
- Cross trained on member level service and eligibility to back-up team members, as needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma, minimally. College degree preferred
- Must be detail oriented
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Persistence to achieve a timely resolution
- Ability to analyze and interpret plan design documents
- Strong organizational skills, including daily prioritization
- Service oriented work ethic is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to function as a member of a communicative team
