As the Director of Technology Strategy and Governance, you will be a direction setter driving and owning the strategic, cross-program view of the entire portfolio, including financial plan and implications, program inter-dependencies, scope, schedule, risk, communications, and resources. You will be accountable for developing and delivering portfolio analytics and ensuring the portfolio is understood and aligned to appropriate higher-level strategic objectives. You will establish and maintain appropriate relationships with stakeholders, act as the focal point for program-related frequent and ensure effective communication with all project stakeholders and team members.

Performance Outcomes as the Director of Technology Strategy and Goverance:

  • Understand high-level financial and organizational targets, challenges, and approaches to adapt.
  • Establish cross-organization relationships with key stakeholders, functional leaders, and informal networks.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Technology Initiatives, program portfolio driving Objectives and Key Results (OKR) for the IT organization.
  • Lead and support the development of short, mid- to long-term strategies focused on driving business results, experience and transformation goals.
  • Ensure the operating rhythm of key business cycles – weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings; set agenda, coordinate attendees/presenters, capture actions, and completion.
  • Work with CIO and IT leadership team to ensure OKRs are tracked, revised, and achieved.

What will your day to day look like?

  • Utilize program management best practices to ensure successful execution of long-term strategy and short-term plan of record.
  • Lead and inspire a team of project and program managers to meet and exceed business objectives.
  • As part of the Office of the CIO leadership team, participate and have direct influence on its strategic direction.
  • Implement, oversee, and synthesize learnings from processes and initiatives (business reviews, deep dives, etc.).
  • Establish and maintain project management standards and policies that directly align with the enterprise’s long-term strategic priorities and goals.
  • Work closely with key program partners and Domain leaders to implement strategic initiatives.
  • Lead Operational due diligence for project execution, creating standardized reporting and dashboards.
  • Ensure adherence to budget and timing of downstream dependencies.
  • Mentor and coach key operational and functional partners to drive the execution of strategies in order to realize measurable improvements in performance and growth.
  • Foster cross-business area/segment collaboration
  • Work in a highly dynamic and changing environment and adapt to shifting customer priorities.

What will you bring to the organization?

  • 10+ years' experience in project/program management and delivery required, experience leading projects in an IT organization preferred.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Digital Transformation experience.
  • Demonstrated results working as a change agent in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across multiple levels of stakeholders.
