Job Summary Details:
  The Baggage Handler/Passenger Assistant is responsible for assisting passengers and airline ticketing agent with lifting, moving and properly transporting their luggage and as Passenger Assistant, also known as the Wheelchair Agent, fulfills the passenger services obligation of airlines for passengers who require or request wheelchair assistance.   Pay Rate:  $13/hour + Tips   Shift:  Sunday-Thursday 4am-12:30pm

Basic Qualifications:
  •  Must be 18 years of age or older •  No high school diploma, GED or college degree required •  No experience required and on the job training provided
  Preferred Qualifications:
  •  One (1) year of customer service or similar work experience preferred
  Responsibilities:
  • Carrying or otherwise transporting passenger luggage to and from the outside sidewalk or main entrance of the airport and the inside ticket counter. 
  • Assist in proper handling of oversized luggage, kennels, and skis of up to or more than 50lbs which may require lots of bending and lifting
  • Ensure passenger luggage is placed in the belt within the designated time frame. 
  • Adhere to required security procedures and hazardous material handling requirements. 
  • Maintain and restock baggage supplies. 
  • Replenish tubs. 
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area at all times. 
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned
  • Follow safety precautions at all times while transporting passengers
  • Positive interpersonal interaction with passengers 
  • Comply with all client's and/or site security requirements and processes 
  • Safely transport passengers in wheelchairs from their retrieval point to their desired destination within the client site or grounds
  • Assist passengers with baggage retrieval and transport, if necessary
  • Coordinate assignments with dispatchers and gate Agents, if necessary
  • Complete thorough Incident Reports
