The Commission for the Blind’s mission is to Empower Oregonians who are Blind to Fully Engage in Life. We do this through providing vocational rehabilitation and independent living services to Oregonians with vision loss, under Title IV of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. (WIOA). The Commission for the Blind is a seven-member Governor-appointed, Senate confirmed public body that provides policy direction and oversight to the agency to support all of the agency programs and services.
The IT Infrastructure Administrator is focused on ensuring the organization’s overall successful operations through providing information systems support that further the agency goals, objectives and mission. This position reports directly to the Business Operations Manager and provides Information Technology support and expertise to the Leadership Team and agency staff. The IT Infrastructure Administrator takes part in evaluating, analyzing and implementing new technology and systems where significant compatibility issues arise and must understand the accessibility and usability issues with technology and systems experienced by our visually impaired employees and clientele.
