About the role

Your Day to Day: 

• Achieving goals together: As the DevOps Engineer you are part of CloudOps Team focusing on ensuring resilient and cost effective infrastructure (multiple hundred vm's / nodes, Postgres, Mongo, Oracle etc.) on our hyperscaler Azure.
• Knowledge Management: Your contribution counts - you maintain our knowledge management and ensure the smooth deployment of our products.
• Daily-Business: You will be responsible for the IT Infrastructure Operation, including OS, DR, cloud billing, reservations, and cloud cost consumption optimization for Azure, back-end systems and external sources. You will act as the subject matter expert (SME) for all database related topics and incidents.
• Hands-on mentality: You will support the engineering teams with infrastructure provisioning and by solving complex cloud infrastructure & database incidents.

 

What makes you excel in this position: 

• Solid background: You have a degree in Computer Science or any other relevant field. An equivalent of the same in working experience is also acceptable.
• Work experience: At least 3-5 years or more experience in the relevant field. You have working experience as an infrastructure / database engineer or system administrator, preferably in a fast-paced, cloud based and constantly evolving environment.
• Tech-Stack: You come with a strong knowledge of Terraform and your familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts and services. Furthermore, you have proven practical skills with Postgres, Mongo, Oracle Database, MSSQL, SQL, PLSQL (Oracle flavor) and JSON. You are deeply experienced with deployment and orchestration technologies (e.g., Chef, Jenkins) and have a solid understanding in system administration tasks (Windows and Linux). Practical work experience with cyber security best practices is a plus.
• Personality: You have good communication skills and convince people of your ideas fluent in English. You are an ambitious self-starter, hungry and driven to learn. You work well under minimal supervision to complete projects and tasks on time. You have strong analytical skills and are willing to come up with new and innovative ideas and solutions? You are motivated and engaged in improving the team processes and technical knowledge to excellence.
