Residential Counselor

Lehigh Recovery Center is a 38-bed Residential Unit providing ASAM 3.7WM and ASAM 3.5 services for individuals with substance use disorders.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides comprehensive ASAM assessments with regards to needs and the appropriate placement into the program; develops individualized treatment plans, which respond to the needs of the person served as identified by the assessment and coordinates the initial and periodic treatment plans

Maintain client records and completes required documentation according to agency and accreditation standards. This may include, but is not limited to biopsychosocial assessment, IDAS, transition checklist, master treatment plan, individual notes, discharge summaries and recovery plan update, and intake evaluations and documented summaries.

Assess client needs; determine their eligibility for services base on insurance coverage.

Presents individual counseling session based on the areas of Relapse Prevention, Addictive Behaviors, and Co-occurring disorders.

Individual and Group Counseling

• Bachelors Degree or higher from an accredited college with a major in psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with clinical specialty in administration or the human services) or other DDAP approved field and 3 years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency which includes 2 years of working directly in Addiction Recovery.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel at the intermediate to advanced level
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Advanced oral and written communication skills to effectively problem-solve.
• Must be a team player, patient, flexible, and can multi-task.
