About the role

Ready to be pushed beyond what you think you’re capable of?

At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. It’s a massive, ambitious opportunity that demands the best of us, every day, as we build the emerging onchain platform — and with it, the future global financial system.

To achieve our mission, we’re seeking a very specific candidate. We want someone who is passionate about our mission and who believes in the power of crypto and blockchain technology to update the financial system. We want someone who is eager to leave their mark on the world, who relishes the pressure and privilege of working with high caliber colleagues, and who actively seeks feedback to keep leveling up. We want someone who will run towards, not away from, solving the company’s hardest problems.

Our work culture is intense and isn’t for everyone. But if you want to build the future alongside others who excel in their disciplines and expect the same from you, there’s no better place to be.

While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, we are not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually to foster collaboration, connection, and alignment. Attendance is expected and fully supported.

The Contingent Workforce Team occupies a pivotal position within Coinbase, overseeing the comprehensive management of the organization's non-permanent personnel. This encompasses temporary staff augmentation, engagement of professional services providers, and utilization of independent consultants. Responsibilities of the team include strategic planning, vendor relationship management, regulatory compliance, and ensuring the optimal deployment of contingent talent to achieve organizational objectives. A Contingent Workforce Analyst will provide support through the examination of contracts and conversion metrics, administration of specialized requests, evaluating compliance verification inquiries and the development and refinement of documentation, while also serving as the primary point of contact for internal support.  Their role involves identifying trends, preparing reports, and providing insights to optimize the contingent workforce program, ultimately contributing to cost savings and operational efficiency.

  • Analyzing conversion rate requests.
  • Managing the end-to-end requisition lifecycle for specialized staffing requests.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Evaluating compliance verification requests.
  • Monitoring and reporting on contingent workforce metrics, performance, spend, and processing report requests.
  • Creating and maintaining training materials, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and Internal and external documentation.
  • Providing front line internal support via Slack Requests.
  • Assisting critical one off projects.

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Analytics or similar discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in a contingent workforce, talent acquisition, staffing, procurement or sourcing program.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, process, interpret, and present datasets related to contingent workforce metrics (e.g., spend, headcount, time-to-fill, retention).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) is essential.
  • Ability to identify workforce-related challenges, analyze root causes, and develop effective, data-driven solutions.
  • Proactive mindset and strategic thinking to anticipate future contingent workforce needs.
  • Experience establishing, fostering, and maintaining positive working relationships with staffing suppliers and other external partners.
  • Familiarity with contract negotiation, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and performance metric management for staffing suppliers.
  • Understanding of labor laws, tax laws, and industry regulations pertaining to contingent workers to ensure program compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure accuracy in data and processes.
  • Ability to track and follow up on outstanding approvals, onboarding/offboarding activities, invoicing, SOW renewals, etc.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with ZIP, Ironclad, Confluence, JIRA.
