Team/Group Description

Brokerage Operations IT develops and supports software used across Private Client Operations with a focus on Brokerage Operations.

Brokerage Operations department is responsible for asset servicing such as transferring assets to and from other brokers and money managers, calculating margin requirements, paying dividends, filing tax forms and other legal and regulatory filings such as brokerage statements.  The work performed by our team touches on other Private Client Operations processes such as Client Reporting and Investment Performance Measurement, but our system also interface with other departments such as Legal and Compliance.

Role Description

The Programmer would write and maintain code that automates or supports operations business processes. Skills in programming, business analysis, system design, as well as finance are required daily.

Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to

• Interface with various Private Client Operations teams, acting as a business analyst/full-stack software developer; enabling operational efficiency.
• Implement programs to be executed by a batch processing system (PCS).
• Oversee retirement of existing legacy systems.
• Provide new system design solutions to allow streamlined communication between various teams within the Private Client SBU.

Job Qualifications (The ideal candidate should have the following)

The ideal candidate should have the following Qualifications, Experience, and Education:

• Knowledge of database principles/architecture (SQL) and experience with various relational/non-relational database management systems.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python) desktop application development (.NET Framework/.NET 6), Restful APIs (ASP .NET)
• Familiarity of financial markets/market participants, brokerage operations, and back-office processes.
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements for broker/dealers and investment managers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to liaise with people at all levels, both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Experience working with global teams.
