Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our specialized pain management team in Little Rock, Arkansas. In this role, you will provide essential support in delivering effective pain management and rehabilitation services to patients with various chronic pain conditions. Your work will be pivotal in helping patients achieve their functional goals and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

Treatment Implementation: Assist in executing personalized treatment plans for patients experiencing chronic pain. This includes performing therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and using modalities as prescribed by the Physical Therapist.

Patient Assessment: Monitor and document patient progress, response to therapy, and any adverse effects. Report significant findings to the supervising Physical Therapist for further evaluation and adjustment of treatment plans.

Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on pain management techniques, home exercise programs, and lifestyle modifications to enhance treatment outcomes.

Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with the Physical Therapist, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care and effective management of pain-related issues.

Equipment Management: Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and ensure a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment for patients.

Administrative Support: Assist with patient intake, scheduling, and other administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the facility.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education: Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited institution.

Licensure: Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state of Arkansas.

Experience: Previous experience in a pain management or related clinical setting is preferred but not required.

Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow treatment protocols and instructions accurately.

Attributes: Compassionate, patient-centered, and capable of working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients as necessary.

Capacity to perform physical tasks related to therapy and patient care.
