Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Supply Base Management Specialist (Level 3) to join our dynamic Phantom Works - Vertical Lift team in Mesa, Arizona.

The position will serve as a liaison between Vertical Lift program focals and procurement agents to provide detailed Focus on Prop Program(s) Execution; and tracking program procurement activity being supported by Mesa PW (Specialty Material, raw materials, etc.) Additionally, the SBM will lead Phantom Works procurement plan activity and engage program on status. 

Position Responsibilities:

• Facilitates supplier/subcontractor business relationships, in-service requirements and performance to contractual obligations and expectations
• Develops and participates in the implementation of supply base plans to support customer, program and commodity strategies
• Analyzes and monitors supplier quality, delivery and financial performance data to identify risks, issues and opportunities
• Develops mitigation plans
• Identifies and participates in supplier and business improvement activities
• Provides outcomes for potential integration into contracting strategies

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• More than 3 years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management
• More than 3 years of experience in supplier management or supply chain management
• More than 3 years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
• More than 3 years of experience with proposal development and contract negotiations
• More than 3 years of experience working with U.S. Department of Defense contracts

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• More than 3 years of experience creating, interpreting and/or enforcing technical requirements
• More than 3 years of experience in root cause analysis and Corrective action

Typical Education/Experience:

Typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Position may require travel up to 15% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $95,200 - $117,600
