Senior Software Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity in 1ES (One Engineering System) for a Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about security and helping engineers to author code in a secure way while maintaining productivity. Responsibilities

• Design, implementation, and testing of multiple new messaging features to develop security standards.
• Building user experiences that work great across multiple devices and browsers.  
• Writing and maintaining unit tests and automated integration or end-to-end tests oncluding stress and performance. 
• Build web applications in enterprise and/or consumer markets. 
• Collaborating with partner teams to meet engineering goals. 
• Managing individual projects or feature priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. 
• Leads by example within the team by producing extensible and maintainable.
• Reviews the code of a product to assure it meets the team's and Microsoft’s quality standards, is reliable and accurate, and is appropriate for the scale of the product/solution area.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience

Other Requirements: 

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:   

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• Solid skills in software system design and architecture. 
• Experience with telemetry and data-driven development. 
• Experience with web performance profiling and analysis. 

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
