Position Specific Description

We're looking for a curious, strategic thinker to join our growing Competitive Intelligence team. As a Competitive Intelligence Analyst, you’ll track, analyze, and interpret competitor strategies, policy changes, pricing trends, and broader market dynamics to help NextEra stay ahead in a rapidly evolving renewable energy landscape.

What You’ll Do:

•    Monitor Market Trends: Assist in researching regulatory developments, transmission trends, pricing movements, and other market signals affecting renewable energy development.
•    Support Regional Research: Work closely with regional Competitive Intelligence Leads to track interconnection queues, permitting activity, competitor pipelines, and development trends across U.S. regions (e.g., CAISO, ERCOT, MISO, PJM, SPP).
•    Develop and Maintain Intelligence Tools: Help maintain databases, dashboards, visualizations and reports to make intelligence accessible and actionable.
•    Visualize and Communicate Insights: Draft high-quality research briefs, competitor profiles, and presentations that synthesize findings for internal stakeholders.
•    Support Strategic Analysis: Contribute to cross-functional analyses and ad hoc strategic projects to evaluate competitive positioning, market opportunities, and project risks.
Collaborate Cross-functionally: Work across teams to ensure intelligence efforts are tightly integrated with business needs and support project-level and portfolio-wide decisions.

What You Bring:
•    3+ years in market research, strategy or competitive intelligence - ideally in energy, infrastructure, or a related field.
•    Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, connect dots, and synthesize findings.
