Allworth Financial is in search of a professional and detail-oriented Staff Accountant. This role will report directly to the Accounting Manager.
This is a full-time, in person non-exempt position. Applicants must be able to work in the Folsom, CA office.
The pay range for this role is $26/hour to $31/hour dependent on experience. This position is eligible for overtime.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit general ledger journal entries
- Reconcile bank accounts and other schedules (intercompany transactions, receivables, payables, etc.)
- Upload positive pay files to online banking
- Post banking transactions to accounting system
- Administer company credit cards, including coding transactions and obtaining supporting documentation
- Learn the Company’s coding structure including chart of accounts, departments, locations and business units. Apply the knowledge to code transactions correctly
- Administer corporate accounts with various vendors (postage, subscriptions, temporary office spaces, etc.)
- Other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned
- Be open to cross-training with other accounting functions within the department
- Protect the Company by keeping information confidential
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
Qualifications / Skills:
- Associate’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, or equivalent work experience (Bachelor’s degree or pursuit of Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Proficient at MS Office (especially Excel)
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and positive attitude are the key to success for this position
- Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
