The University of Miami Health System, "UHealth", Information Technology Department has an exciting opportunity for a Full- time Epic Senior Analyst, Lab Information Systems (Clinical Pathology) with a hire date of December 2024. This position will provide support across various sights including our new satellite office - SoLé Mia.

The Epic Senior Analyst, Lab Information Systems (Clinical Pathology) initiates the implementation, builds, and modifies complex applications, and collaborates with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application’s configuration, function, and access. The incumbent supports junior staff members in day-to-day operations and resolving application issues.

  • Collaborates with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application’s configuration, function, and access 

  • Serves as a primary support contact for application endusers. 

  • Initiates the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of applications assigned to the laboratory team including but not limited to Epic.

  • Initiates all phases of testing and the documentation of workflow design. 

  • Performs the analysis of information technology in clinical work processes and validates the impacts to the workflow. 

  • Initiates the identification of issues and guides the work to resolve them. 

  • Supports junior staff members in the evaluation and resolution of service tickets, identification and implementation of application changes, retrieval of requested data, and execution of day-to-day operations. 

  • Collaborates with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies. 

  • Works with stakeholders, the business community, and end users to ensure the application meets UHealth's business/clinical needs. 

  • Participates in on-call rotations and support and attend and participates in, applicable committees. 

  • Maintains regular communication with team members, including participating in weekly project team meetings. 

  • Reviews the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership. 

  • Remains knowledgeable about UHealth’s policies, procedures, and business operations. 

  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets. 

Department Specific Functions:

  • Travel to the job site during go-lives, conferences, rounding, and/or senior leadership meetings.
