Our team is fast paced and efficient with the focus on patients and their care. In this role, you will prep patients for surgery as well as monitor and care for them immediately after the procedure.

Position Purpose
The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the achievement of patient outcomes in accordance with the mission of the facility. Prepare patients for surgical procedures, monitors and cares for patients post-operatively and prepares patients for discharge. Responsible for conducting business and patient care activities consistent with the hospital's policy for Patient's Rights and Responsibilities without discriminating against the individual because of sex, age, race, or religion or any other potentially discriminating factor. Responsible for the discrete and confidential handling of all patient information whether written or spoken, and to be ever vigilant and sensitive to where and how any patient information is shared.
Interpersonal Relationships
As a representative of Beacon Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, all comments, attitudes, actions, and behaviors have a direct affect on the facility's image and perceptions of quality service. Interaction with patients, family members, physicians, referral sources, affiliating schools, visitors, etc. must be in a manner that is friendly, supportive, courteous, respectful, cooperative, and professional. This behavior should promote an atmosphere of teamwork congruent with facility standards and guidelines to promote positive relations, and set an example for the staff.
Position Requirements
Licenses or Certifications: Current licensure to practice in the State of Ohio. Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support Course; ACLS preferred and PALS preferred.
Education, Vocational Training and Experience
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing. Current ACLS preferred and PALS certificate preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years experience in PACU, ICU OR ER nursing preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge and experience in PACU nursing or critical care.

- Displays positive attitude towards other employees.
- Knowledge and experience in hospital, operating room, or hospital nursing care.
- Ability to set priorities.
- Ability to provide direction to others that is clear, concise and promotes efficiency on the unit.
- Ability to communicate well with patients, families, co-workers, etc.
- Ability to correlate clinical data with patient's medical and nursing care.

- Assesses patient status on admission and on an ongoing basis.
- Implements appropriate standards of care based on assessment data and patient's own goals. Goals are mutually set with the patient and family
- Coordinates nursing interventions to enhance achievement of expected outcomes and to ensure readiness for discharge.
- Ensures provision of patient care daily in an organized and timely manner.
- Adheres to all facility policies and procedures when providing patient care.
- Utilizes nursing care standards when planning and implementing patient care.
- Demonstrates ability to direct and provide for patient care in emergency situation.
- Assess learning needs according to patient's level of understanding and readiness to learn.
- Analyzes nursing care provided in the facility related to the established standards of care.
