The Quantum hardware team is seeking a Principal Quantum Hardware Engineering Manager to develop new quantum scalable control platforms for quantum computing.  The ideal candidate will work collaboratively and lead a team that drives cryoCMOS experiments with Microsoft’s topological qubits.

Responsibilities

  • Leading a team that drives experiments of our proprietary custom cryogenic ASIC designs with Microsoft’s topological qubits. 
  • Leading a team that collaborates with Microsoft’s 3rd party partners in the areas of Quantum Networking 
  • Driving internal demonstrations of Quantum machines for the full stack 
  • Contributing to development of cryogenic cooling and wiring systems 
  • As it pertains to the Hardware Engineering team, advise on facilities, laboratory build out, operations, equipment specifications, space planning and equipment installation. 
  • Define and manage innovation projects with third party OEMs and applications teams for process module development as well as related equipment/tooling development.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years experience in industry or in a research and development environment

    • OR Master's Degree in Physics, Engineering, or related field AND 6+
