About the role

Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Logistics Warehouse Shift Supervisor to join our dynamic team. You will lead small to mid-size warehouse operations teams ensuring effective management of inventory and processes across multiple warehouse locations in our 1.2M sq ft facility. This is a crucial leadership role where you will maintain high productivity, safety, and customer service standards.


Night Shift: 6:00 pm – 6:00 am on a 2-2-3 rotation with every other weekend off (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).


Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and leading a team of warehouse employees, providing them with guidance, coaching, and support to ensure optimal performance. You will oversee various aspects of inventory management, including receiving, storage, and order fulfillment, while also optimizing warehouse layout and workflows to maximize space utilization and streamline operations.


Your role will involve the implementation and enforcement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency, productivity, and accuracy within the warehouse. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to ensure seamless order fulfillment and timely delivery, contributing to our commitment to customer satisfaction.


Safety will be a top priority, as you will conduct regular inspections to uphold a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols. Monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) will be crucial, enabling you to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary corrective actions.


In addition to your supervisory responsibilities, you will play a vital role in the training and onboarding of new warehouse staff, ensuring they acquire the essential knowledge and skills required for effective job performance. Your efforts will contribute to fostering a positive and collaborative team culture, characterized by open communication and a dedication to continuous learning.

Requirements

Qualifications and Education

We are in search of a Warehouse Supervisor who brings a combination of educational achievement and practical experience to our team. An associate degree in a related field or an equivalent blend of hands-on experience, knowledge, and training will be highly valued. The successful candidate will exhibit a strong background as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a comparable role, underscoring their exceptional leadership and organizational aptitude.


A deep understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics processes will be essential to excel in this position. Notably, the ability to adeptly address challenges and make informed decisions within a dynamic, fast-paced setting is crucial. Proficiency in utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software tools will contribute to efficient operations.


Effective communication skills are paramount, encompassing interactions with team members, stakeholders, and customers alike. The capacity to skillfully prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving business demands will be a hallmark of the successful candidate. Familiarity with safety regulations and optimal practices within a warehouse environment is imperative.


Preferred qualifications include a forklift certification and hands-on experience with material handling equipment. Candidates with a background in the food and beverage industry, coupled with a comprehension of SQF and GMP standards, will have a distinct advantage.
