GDIT has an opportunity for a MS Project Server Administrator to support the modernization and sustainment of a large portfolio of enterprise business solutions used by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The position supports a new program, the NASA Consolidated Applications and Platform Services (NCAPS) which consolidates enterprise-wide applications and platform services across the Agency and supports the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Application Division transformation into the Application and Platform Service (APS) Line with agile based service delivery and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) based service management practices. This is a part-time remote position (75% of a full-time equivalent employee).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as subject matter expert providing MS Project Server administration in a highly customized environment.
- Develop, modify, enhance the customized MS Project Server environment to meet the customer needs.
- Maintain the MS Project Server environment via upgrades and patching.
- Maintain access management roles and requirements.
- Serve as the primary interface with the NASA customer or requirements and end-user support.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 12 or more years of experience as a systems engineer or related role.
- Software engineering experience with any of the following: NASA MS Project Server Implementation for SSC.
- Experience with MS Project Server customizations and upgrades.
- Experience engineering and implementing system interfaces, either point-to-point or using a bus/orchestration model.
- Test planning and execution expertise to include application and system documentation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and translate that understanding into effective technical writing for non-technical end users.
- Strong organizational skills.
- An understanding of databases, primarily Oracle and/or other relational and non-relational/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Must be willing and able to obtain a NASA Public Trust Clearance (US Citizenship required).
