BMD Manufacturing is currently hiring for a Product Support Representative

The Product Support Representative plays a critical role in supporting customers and clients with their manufacturing product-related inquiries and needs. Our Company is in the manufacturing industry of woodwork or manufactured wood products used in the construction and interior design industry, such as doors, windows, moldings, and cabinetry. The primary responsibility of a Manufacturing Product Support Representative is to provide expert assistance, technical guidance, and customer service related to these products.

This role is remote, Monday through Friday, full-time.

The Product Support Representative is responsible for delivering exceptional customer support and technical expertise related to products. This role involves assisting customers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders with product inquiries, technical specifications, and problem resolution. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of products and excellent communication skills to ensure a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Support: Provide prompt and courteous assistance to customers via phone, email, or in-person regarding product inquiries, orders, deliveries, and technical information.
• Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain expert-level knowledge of millwork products, including doors, windows, moldings, and cabinetry, along with their specifications, applications, and installation requirements.
• Technical Assistance: Offer technical guidance and solutions to customers and internal teams, addressing questions, concerns, and issues related to products.
• Product Documentation: Create and maintain product documentation, including catalogs, manuals, and technical data sheets, to aid customers in understanding and selecting the right products.
• Order Processing: Assist customers with order processing, tracking, and delivery coordination, ensuring accurate and on-time delivery of products.
• Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve customer complaints, issues, and warranty claims related to products, collaborating with relevant departments when necessary.
• Product Training: Conduct training sessions or workshops for customers, contractors, and employees to enhance their knowledge of products and installation techniques.
• Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and market demands to provide input for product development and improvement.
• Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities related to products.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Previous experience in a customer support or technical support role, preferably within the manufacturing or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of millwork and manufacturing products and their applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in using customer relationship management (CRM) software and other relevant tools.
• Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Exceptional organizational skills and multitasking capabilities.
