About the role

Security Operations Center Engineer, Lead

Key Role:

Provide lead cybersecurity analyst services to support the client's mission. Coordinate work with teams to utilize the right mix of tools and techniques to secure our customer’s IT infrastructure. Lead a team to investigate new techniques, break free from the legacy model, and go where the industry is going. Lead the team through a critical approach to monitoring and securing networks, automating those processes, and staying up to date on the newest vulnerabilities and threats to information systems. Apply expertise in systems analysis, analyzing architecture design of the networks and the associated systems, technology assessment, and metrics development. Provide operational support, coordinating and resolving issues with vendors and other appropriate personnel. Develop and apply advanced methods, theories, and research techniques to the investigation and resolution of complex project requirements and technical specifications for system development projects, and plan and direct full life cycle projects or major phases of projects for highly visible technical solution programs. Help customers overcome their most difficult challenges by integrating secure practices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience leading cyber threat teams to meet changing mission needs and with leading project teams and acting as the client relationship manager
  • 5+ years of experience with cyber penetration testing and developing risk and threat mitigation plans
  • 5+ years of experience operating in Linux and Windows
  • 5+ years of experience leading and managing teams
  • Knowledge of computer attack methods and system exploitations techniques
  • Ability to interact directly with clients to identify problems, analyze data, generate solutions, and communicate results
  • Ability to design and integrate security solutions to address enterprise risks and exposure, and leverage adversarial tactics to conduct hands-on security testing
  • Ability to manage and lead multiple projects and fast-paced delivery teams across challenging commercial and consulting environments
  • Secret clearance
  • IAT Level 2 Certification

Additional Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience leading cyber threat teams to meet changing mission needs and with leading project teams and acting as the client relationship manager
  • 10+ years of experience with cyber penetration testing, developing risk and threat mitigation plans, and operating in Linux and Windows
  • 10+ years of experience leading and managing teams
  • Experience with delivery, including QA and quality control, and managing or leading functional teams to meet or exceed client expectations
  • Experience leading large or complex cybersecurity capability design and implementation projects clients, including the implementation of new people, processes, and technologies for threat prevention, detection, and response
  • Experience managing and building teams of cyber professionals to bring solutions to meet client's evolving cyber threats, and researching and evaluating security policies and guidance
  • Experience with operating system languages and language packs, and cybersecurity products, including anti-virus and endpoint security variants and methods
  • Knowledge of computer attack methods and system exploitations techniques
  • Knowledge of the Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) 
  • DoD 8140 – IAT III or CSSP Analyst Certification

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
