Position Summary 

Blackbird Health Clinical Services is looking to hire a Director to join our growing team. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, the Director will play a critical role in ensuring that our clinical services are of the highest quality and meet the needs of our patients. This position is responsible for setting and implementing clinical standards with support of the Vice President of Behavioral Health, providing clinical oversight, helping the entire clinical services team move towards truly integrated care, advancing clinical approaches, and maintaining the highest levels of clinical quality and compliance for our patients, families, and providers.  As a key member of our leadership team overseeing our Mid-Atlantic markets (starting in Virginia), this position requires the ability to manage and oversee our remote and hybrid staff associated with our Mid-Atlantic clinics, and support critical relationships in these markets, such as school districts and large Pediatric partnerships.

How you'll make an impact:

• Manage a team of clinical site managers and remote managers both administratively and clinically to ensure excellent patient care through group and one-on-one performance coaching and mentoring
• Provide direct on-site support of our clinicians 3-4 days a week with an initial focus on our Tysons Corner and Chantilly locations
• Ensure managers and therapists are meeting productivity and caseload standards by supporting their ability to build, manage and maintain their schedules
• Provide leadership and management to our team of full time and 1099 psychotherapists (Master's level clinicians- LPC, LCSW, LMFTs), while overseeing supervision programs for LSWs and LAPCs
• Deliver excellent direct patient care with an estimated 10 clinical direct care hours per week
• In collaboration with the VP, develop effective organization-wide clinical training programs and support onboarding on new hires
• Oversee the development and implementation of evidence-based treatment plans
• Ensure that our clinical services are in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
• Work with the Clinical Managers and Talent Acquisition to support recruitment and retention of therapist talent
• Collaborate with our team of other health care professionals and support staff to ensure that our patients receive integrated, personalized, and comprehensive care
• Partner with Market Liaisons and Executive Leadership to support relationships with key Pediatric groups and priority school districts as the principle “face” of our clinical organization in the Mid-Atlantic

The basics you'll need:

• Hold at least a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or related field
• Hold VA/MD license to practice psychotherapy, which includes maintaining all necessary continuing education requirements (priority on VA initially, with ability to obtain MD license)
• Experience overseeing supervisors and supervision requirements for LSWs and/or LAPCs
