OVERVIEW:
Role Responsibilities:
Work with the Sales Audit Supervisor to resolve complicated balancing issues and determine the proper actions to remedy IT and operational issues impacting the team. Ensure the daily credit card balancing is completed accurately and efficiently. Complete auditing tasks for a range of B&M store locations while ensuring the rest of the team is meeting all auditing deadlines.
Work closely with one direct report to train on business concepts, process overviews and system trainings; As well as mentoring their development, identifying strengths/ opportunities, and working with supervisor to identify opportunities for their growth. Providing coaching/mentoring as needed thru weekly TB's, quarterly check ins, and end of year performance evaluations
Along with Supervisor/Manager, this role will be responsible for the financial close process as it relates to sales. Complete month end responsibilities, which include assisting with balancing sales, completing balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting.
Train all new Sales Audit Associates on the sales audit balancing process. Work with Supervisor to track all Sales Audit Associates’ progress and train the team on additional tasks. Track all delegated responsibilities to ensure completion and accuracy
Represent Sales Audit in cross-functional meetings on new company initiatives. Partner closely with business and IT partners to build reporting and processes to support new initiatives.
Serve as backup to the Sales Audit Associate I's during high activity periods or during vacations/absence and participate in special projects and ad-hoc analysis as required
Balance the Sales Audit system and perform the weekly close process. Redirects auditor workload based on weekly/monthly closing schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting
3-5 years experience in accounting, banking, or retail
