About the role...
The Senior Director, IT Services is a newly formed role to consolidate a number of key internal IT service and product functions. We provide services to a 100% remote global workforce which provides unique challenges and opportunities for us to rethink how IT is delivered.
The overall responsibility is to provide world class IT services to all HashiCorp employees and contractors. You will build and lead a team of diverse, world class technology and business leaders. You understand the need for technology to move at the speed of business and exceed expectations when it comes to delivery. Being able to lead with influence and build relationships with key stakeholders will be critical to your success in this role.
In this role you can expect to...
- Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with company goals and objectives.
- Lead and manage multiple disciplines including, Global Help Desk, Infrastructure, Workforce Productivity and R&D Productivity Administration
- Ensure effective and efficient hiring, training, and development of IT Ops staff.
- Working closely with the security team, implement solutions to ensure the security and integrity of the company's data, network, and infrastructure.
- Build a world class help desk to provide best in class support to all HashiCorp employees/contractors.
- Oversee the development, maintenance, and support of IT endpoints, network and cloud services.
- Oversee the product development of workforce productivity applications.
- Play a key role in supporting R&D productivity applications
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and address technology needs and opportunities.
- Manage IT budgets and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends to recommend innovative solutions that can enhance the company's operations.

- At least 15 years of experience in IT management, with a proven track record of delivering successful IT projects.
- Strategic thinker with a focus on execution.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in building and leading cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of IT security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Expert knowledge in cloud computing, DevOps, and agile methodologies.
- Proven ability to develop and manage IT budgets and drive cost optimization initiatives.
