Job Description:

As the Manager of Facilities at ESPN’s Charlotte Production Center, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of our facilities. You will lead a team of professionals, manage vendor relationships, and oversee the maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. Your leadership will contribute to business continuity, sustainability, and an exceptional employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

Operations

• Oversee the maintenance and operation of MEP systems, ensuring system uptime and compliance with best practices.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs for building facilities, including electrical, mechanical, and janitorial services.
• Coordinate safety measures for Facilities Construction & Engineering employees and outside vendors.
• Oversee the ESPN mailroom, food and beverage operations, and distribution services.
• Assist with construction projects, space planning, and office logistics.

Technical Oversight

• Maintain and operate complex electrical systems, including generators, UPS, and ATS units.
• Troubleshoot HVAC systems and oversee the Building Management System (BMS).
• Respond to emergency situations and implement energy conservation initiatives.
• Utilize digital tools for reporting, analytics, and remote monitoring.

Team Leadership

• Lead and develop a team of facilities professionals, conducting performance reviews and supporting staff development.
• Foster a collaborative work environment, engaging employees at all levels of the organization.
• Drive change and communicate effectively across the organization.

Basic Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with MEP systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in people and project management.
• Associate degree or higher in a related field.
• Experience with SCADA/DDC systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
