The team

The Risk Systems Group is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and operation of the firm’s margin trading, collateralized lending, and exposure monitoring systems. The Risk Systems Group partners with revenue-producing business areas across the firm to provide the underlying infrastructure to support their growing business activities. This group also takes a leading role in the design and implementation of the firm’s risk policies and procedures. The ideal candidate has professional experience with trading and trading products, lending and lending products, market and credit risk theory and practice, a detailed understanding of the transaction processing lifecycle, is data-driven, technically adept and has a proven track record of Product Management achievement. The position requires interaction with a wide variety of internal stakeholders at various levels of the organization.

The opportunity

• Collaborate in the development and implementation of the firm’s best-in-class risk management and monitoring systems

• Collaborate in the creation of market and liquidity risk management practice that is responsible for managing client and firm exposure across all current and proposed business lines.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, legal, finance, marketing, compliance and other teams to develop and steer product strategy, roadmaps, and business plans

• Perform research and market analysis to gain insights across the industry

• Define and analyze metrics, and iterate quickly to deliver superior UX. Be the ultimate owner of product performance and business impact.

• Work closely with customers and key stakeholders to define and develop detailed product and business requirements

• Perform User Acceptance Testing and ensure requirements were understood and implemented as requested

• Influence product and technology strategy and direction (roadmap), and product and user experience decision-making

• Evangelize the power of analytics and experimentation in building a data-driven organization

• Write technical PRDs, manage backlogs, and effectively prioritize new features vs. tech debt.

• Create and disseminate risk analysis reports to different stakeholders, including board members and the C-Suite management team

• Establish a strong risk culture and a common “risk language” across the enterprise

Skills you should HODL

• Experience and knowledge of current market risk management best-practices

• Experience and knowledge of cryptocurrency highly preferred 

• Intellectual honesty, curiosity and humility. Desire to build and share expertise.
