Job Description

• The BI Developer plays a critical role in the partnering with internal and external business units in creating complex analytic and reporting solutions for supporting internal and external reporting.
• Gathers and translates business reporting requirements to BI Report technical specifications.
• Develops, produces and distributes ad-hoc and automated reports, dashboards and other visualizations using a variety of reporting platforms, including SSRS, PowerBI, and Excel.
• Gather and prepare data from multiple sources to support information analytics
• Define or assist with Business Intelligence best practices.
• Provide input to project planning, status and review meetings.
• Perform unit and integration testing and participate in reporting validation and QA efforts as they pertain to reporting and data analytics

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Mathematics, Computer Science or related subject, or equivalent work experience
• 5 + years’ combined experience with business intelligence tools including SSIS, SSRS, SSAS
• SharePoint, PowerPivot, and PowerView experience a plus.
• Experience with PowerBI or Tableau is preferred.
• Proficient in writing SSRS reports in SQL, MDX preferred.

• OLAP Cube Development (Microsoft SSAS and MDX) experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and Git preferred.
• Understanding of Business Intelligence solutions and concepts: operational and analytical, strong knowledge of relational and multi-dimensional database architectures
• Ability to work with a minimal amount of direction while being pro-active in keeping their management informed of project related issues
• Demonstrated ability to use discretion and make sound decisions
• Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of employees ranging from entry level to senior leadership
• Experience working on an Agile/Scrum team preferred
• Proven strong problem-solving skills, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, working across multiple projects simultaneously.
