Position Summary

This position develops and implements Student Life programs and supports to enrolled students in the MD program, providing direct oversight of Student programming and Student Groups. More specifically, they will be responsible for the interpretation of policies and procedures as it applies to our student groups, assist in the creation, contribution towards, and generation of supporting program outcome data, and the promotion of student affairs initiatives internally and externally to the School of Medicine.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages the budget for all student groups, facilitating the expenditure requests, payments, and reimbursements for various student group needs. Facilitates the management of student event requests, including the booking of space for all student needs and offering guidance on best practices. Manages the Student Co­-Curricular calendar by monitoring and managing entries.

  • Ensures student groups will comply with University, School of Medicine, and Office of Education policies and practices  in all their programming activities. Develops and maintains operational guidelines for all components of student programming and maintains accountability of adherence to guidelines by student groups.                                       

  • Serves as the primary student group liaison to assist in resolving problems between students, faculty, staff, and/or external contacts on operational and administrative issues related to student group programming events such as routine meetings, events, or activities.                 

  • Provides administrative support to the units of the Office of Medical Student Affairs and other Office of Education units as necessary.                                               

  • Supports Deans and Associate Director in daily office routines, including composing emails, calendars, and editing correspondence and reports when applicable.
