Job Summary

We are looking for a General Manager of Special Events to join our awesome Catering team in Mountain View, CA! 

 

Achieve our mission to develop lasting relationships based upon trust and partnership by personalizing each event with passion. As the General Manager of Special Events, you will be responsible for the development and management of associates who deliver a customer experience that supports the pursuit and achievement of the Google food program goals through catering and special events. This position works directly with people operations, recruiting, learning and development and the internal catering departments.  

 

You will leverage internal and external resources to support and further develop strategic objectives and strategies in developing a team of associates who own the entire guest experience and deliver upon a best in class promise. Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment, be a team player, and be able to creatively think and work within the full spectrum of all that is involved with being a successful catering operation.

• Maintain, iterate and improve the synergistic processes of communication supporting special events leading the Catering Special Event management team in working with operations, sales and culinary to ensure difference making guest experiences, operational efficiency/excellence and financial accountability in an off-premise environment. 

• Lead oversight, creation and management of costs of special event specific teams.

• Manage relationships with third party temporary service partners ensuring a steady stream of best in class staff for events.

• Lead training and development program for line level catering associates working with creative, people operations, safety and learning and development on catering specific skills to elevate the guest and associate experience.
