What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Support contract negotiations and on-boarding of Scout trade-in vendor partners
- Launch and manage Scout’s trade-ins strategy and vendor relationships, including operational playbooks, use case/user needs definitions for internal and customer-facing tool development, and a systems integration roadmap
- Implement detailed and active project management techniques to ensure functional alignment and on-time execution of all trade-ins deliverables
- Establish and launch a Scout Certified Pre-Owned program, from overall vision and business case to stakeholder buy-in, management approval and implementation
- Actively monitor and benchmark remarketing trends as well as the remarketing practices of key competitors
- Identify and drive the development/procurement of the data and dashboards which will enable Scout to monitor the remarketing performance of Scout and its remarketing partners
- Provide input into Scout residual value forecasting and residual value optimization strategies
- Provide inputs for and support the creation of internal Remarketing Training materials for Scout front-line team members
- Develop a high-functioning Remarketing team, sized and skilled for Scout’s launch strategy, along with a roadmap for ideal future state
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role will be based out of the future Scout Motors corporate headquarters, which is anticipated to be identified in 2025. This role may be remote to start but will transition to an in-office setting at the headquarters after the location is determined and you are expected to relocate at such time. This role is not eligible for remote work in New York City.
- The responsibilities of this role require attendance in office with in-person meetings and events regularly.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
- Travel: Domestically up to 25% of the time, drivers license required.

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- 10+ years of experience managing OEM remarketing programs and/or remarketing strategy and execution at a large dealer group
- Deep understanding of key performance drivers, trends, and vendors in the U.S. automotive remarketing space
- Willingness to be relocated to a to-be-defined Scout corporate headquarters location at a future date
- A diverse history and skillset within automotive sales operations that enables a solid understanding of the cross-functional stakeholders and viewpoints which impact a Remarketing department
- A desire to build from a clean sheet that is supported by a talent for creating processes, defining tasks, and building alignment with numerous stakeholders
