Job Overview

The Central ICQA Supervisor performs operational Advanced Receiving Office (ARO) duties while supervising associates in assigned work areas. This role organizes work groups, coaches employees, monitors progress, enforces rules, and ensures quality compliance. The Supervisor possesses strong communication and leadership skills, effectively resolving workplace issues. They are responsible for guiding, training, and supporting team members, demonstrating motivation to help the company fulfill its mission. The ideal candidate is people-centered, supportive, and adaptable, ensuring the team operates at its best. The Supervisor also performs other duties as assigned.

What You Will Do

  • Emphasize and teach safe workplace behaviors, ensuring they are consistently practiced. 
  • Foster team pride by maintaining a clean and organized department or work area.
  • Provide hands-on guidance to associates in the operation of the Central ARO Office, ensuring successful merchandise receipt within established service, accuracy, and productivity standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the training group to ensure associates are properly trained, cross-trained, and certified in all ARO functions. 
  • Identify training gaps and work with the manager to address and resolve issues, contributing to the development and growth of high-performing team members.
  • Practice open and continuous communication, valuing the importance of keeping others well informed. 
  • Present written and verbal ideas clearly and conduct daily team meetings. 
  • Recognize and celebrate individual and team performance with positive reinforcement.
  • Guide associates toward achieving continuous improvement goals and objectives. 
  • Encourage associates to suggest process or cultural improvements and advocate for their initiatives.
  • Conduct performance reviews and motivate team members to excel.
  • Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.

Skills You Will Need

Leadership and Team Management: Ability to lead, guide, and motivate a team, ensuring productivity and adherence to standards. Experience in conducting performance reviews and fostering a positive team environment.

Strong Communication Skills: Proficiency in both verbal and written communication, with the ability to clearly present ideas and effectively interface with colleagues, management, and external partners.

Training and Development: Capability to train, cross-train, and develop team members, identifying skill gaps and working to address them for overall team growth.

Operational Knowledge: Experience with warehouse management, particularly in overseeing Advanced Receiving Office (ARO) operations, ensuring accurate and efficient receipt of merchandise. 

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities, including basic math functions, to interpret data, solve problems, and make informed decisions.

Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all operational aspects, from documentation to team management.

Organizational Skills: Effective organization and time management skills to oversee multiple tasks and ensure smooth operations.

Adaptability and Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating a strong sense of urgency and the ability to manage confidential information.

Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel) and the ability to utilize these tools in daily operations.

Team Collaboration: Ability to work harmoniously with others, contributing to a cohesive and supportive team environment.
