Resident Services Coordinator

Our partner is seeking a Resident Services Coordinator in Portland, OR, responsible for assisting residents in designated Section 8 Communities. The role focuses on building community and providing resources and referrals to ensure residents' continued housing.

Responsibilities:

1. Identify resident issues and provide links to resources for housing stability.
2. Mediate neighbor and tenant/landlord disputes.
3. Educate residents about building rules and policies, serving as a liaison to service providers.
4. Maintain communication with Portfolio Manager and Client/Resident Monitors.
5. Network with community agencies for resident resource linkage.
6. Conduct monthly tenant council meetings and create community programs and activities.
7. Interview applicants, assess needs, and follow up to ensure needs are met.
8. Respond to and investigate resident reports of building, community, and employee issues.
9. Adhere to privacy and security regulations, prepare accurate reports, and participate in improvement councils.
10. Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.; advanced education desirable.
• Knowledge of chemical dependency and treatment.
• Experience working with people experiencing mental illness preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen, TB test, and background check.
• Possess a current driver's license if using a vehicle for agency use.
• Physical ability to perform various tasks, including lifting heavy objects and climbing stairs.
• Adherence to drug-free workplace policies and non-discrimination policies.
• Effective communication with diverse backgrounds.
