Job Description

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa’s network clients, including both financial services and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, Visa Consulting and Analytics solves the most strategic problems for our clients.

The US Consulting Practice within Visa Consulting & Analytics provides consulting and solution services for Visa’s largest issuers in the United States. We apply deep expertise in the payments industry to provide solutions to assist clients with their key business priorities, drive growth and improve profitability. The VCA team provides a comprehensive range of consulting services to deliver solutions that address unique challenges in areas such as improving profitability, strategic growth, customer experience, digital payments and running risk.

You will join our consulting team and play a role in delivering and implementing high impact projects while leading our junior talent cohort to develop our next generation of consultants. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and flexibility to support client needs while primarily supporting the development of junior talent.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive mentorship and training programs for the next generation of consultants, ensuring each individual receives personalized guidance and support to enhance their skill sets, career growth, and performance
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and actionable insights to foster continuous improvement, professional development, and alignment with VCA’s strategic goals and standards
  • Lead consulting initiatives and contribute to closing engagements by identifying potential opportunities with clients
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (marketing, sales, risk, innovation) and across global regional teams to execute projects in ways that use the breadth and depth of Visa’s resources
  • Produce insights, analyses, and recommendations to improve client performance, boost growth, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic mentorship for client priorities across the verticals and segments
  • Ability to reliably manipulate and analyze large data sets (industry and Visa) to identify meanings insights and recommendations for clients

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • Growth mindset that embraces creativity, optimism, and failing-fast
  • Prior experience leading a team of consultants or professionals
  • Previous experience at large management consulting firm or US Financial Institution
  • Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical difficulty
  • Experience using financial indicators to measure business performance with a significant focus on impacting return on investment
  • Self-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking operations and/or payment schemes, including products & services, business systems and processes, marketing initiatives and card issuing experience
  • Outstanding communication, storytelling and presentation skills
  • Technologically savvy, curious, up to date with digital trends and application

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10%
