Job Overview

The Analyst, Network Cost ensures the company is not overcharged for its Telecom network services by running a standard set of audits and analyzing results compared to tariffs, contracts and original service requests. This position prepares dispute packages for the Reconciliation Analyst describing the dispute along with backup documentation on where the error was found, contract/tariff section it relates to or other documents that will help win the dispute. The Analyst will be expected to identify cost savings. Gaining additional understanding of contracts and tariff changes will help meet or exceed with the cost savings goal for this position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform analysis of the audits, comparing to tariffs, contracts, ASR’s.

  • Run specified weekly, monthly, quarterly audits (including Auto Audits from billing tool)

  • Prepare billing dispute packages, naming issue and compiling backup documentation.

  • Assist Reconciliation Analyst in negotiations with Vendors providing further explanation and argue position of the dispute.  (Management should be aware of issues but auditors have authority to negotiate give and takes.  Large issues that become a stand still get escalated up to Director/VP and legal.)

  • Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.


Education and Work Experience:

  • Associate's Degree - Finance/Engineering (Preferred)

  • Significant experience with financial auditing projects and processes. (Required)

  • Network Cost Management experience. (Preferred)

  • Provisioning/Network Planning experience. (Preferred)

  • Carrier Management experience. (Preferred)

  • Carrier Billing experience. (Preferred)


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Microsoft Excel (Required)

  • Microsoft Access (Required)

  • Data Analysis (Required)

  • Vendor Management (Required)

  • Auditing (Required)

    • At least 18 years of age

    Base Pay Range: $57,800 - $104,300

    Corporate Bonus Target: 10%

    The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

    At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
