Job Summary

Castalia Systems is currently searching for an IT Asset Visibility and security Engineer that will be implementing USPS cybersecurity strategies protecting the digital network, connected assets, hosted applications and data, and employees within the Information Technology (IT) environment.

Candidates must have strong demonstrated experience in large enterprise IT environment including 8+ years of IT security experience and application of asset visibility solutions towards IT hardware and software asset management security efforts supporting both IT operations and security efforts including application control, network access control, Comply to Connect and Remain, vulnerability management, and security event investigation support.

Roles and Responsibilities

A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:

• Guiding the design and implementation of secure solutions and services across our business and IT support areas.
• Security architecture across a variety of applications or domains, including cloud computing, and assigned to project/initiatives of large size, complexity, and risk.
• Driving successful configuration and implementation of security solutions to reduce risk.
• Developing actionable security blueprints, principles, models, designs, standards, and guidelines to ensure information technology architecture and support is consistent, usable, secure, and adds value to the business.

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of eight (8) to twelve (12) years’ relevant experience.
• A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required. If the individual’s degree is not in the applicable field then four additional years of related experience is required.
• Knowledge, experience, and certifications with relevant tools such as Armis Centrix, Data pipeline engineering, Splunk use and knowledge object development, Windows and Linux system administration, Python scripting and automation implementation.
• Works on high-visibility, or mission critical aspects of a given program, and performs all functional duties independently.
• Oversees the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At lease one of the following certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC, RHCE, CPTE, or CEH)
• Demonstrated ability to apply statistical and deep learning technology, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts.
• Ability to apply large language model based tools to accelerate business processes, ability to build & maintain schedules and step-by-step action plans; strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the demonstrated ability to positively influence peer organization and key stakeholders
