POSITION SUMMARY
Since the doors opened in 1972, this factory has grown dramatically into a sustainable state-of-the-art facility. With sustainability and safety at the forefront of our minds, our Atlanta factory proudly and passionately produces 460,000 tons a year of our dry pet food brands, including Alpo®, Beneful®, Cat Chow®, Dog Chow®, Friskies®, Purina ONE®, and Pro Plan®. Our factory does our part for the environment by conserving water, investing in renewable electricity, maintaining zero waste for disposal and more. This plant location is situated along the southern crescent of Metro Atlanta—an area that nearly 6 million residents and many of our associates call home. Atlanta is considered the major commercial and financial center of the Southeast, and together, we contribute to the growth of businesses and population, building the city's strong logistics, entertainment and film, and health services industries.
As Financial Accounting Lead (Financial Accounting Manager), you’ll maintain the integrity of the factory financial structure and drive accuracy in the forecasting, reporting, and analysis of operating costs. Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, Nestlé accounting standards, and company policies and standards. Bring your accounting expertise to a safety-minded, collaborative team as you manage factory budgets and costs.
- Create and manage budgets and costs for the facility.
- Complete required factory accounting activities including performing monthly general ledger closing activities in SAP.
- Develop, research, communicate, and implement new or updated procedures as dictated by business needs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with department leads and the corporate finance team.
- Work with team leaders and hourly associates on the factory floor conducting leadership activities to support fixed asset inventories.
- Manage and develop a team to achieve factory and department goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in an accounting, finance, business, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in general accounting, cost accounting, operations control, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- 1+ years of supervisory experience.
The approximate pay range for this position is $101,000.00 to $126,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
