This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in an office ( Hartford, CT, San Antonio, TX, Lake Mary, FL, Phoenix, AZ, Aurora, IL, New York, NY and Danbury, CT) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Start Date: January 29, 2024
Training Hours: Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM (your local time)
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, core business hours
As a Centralized Auto Services Claims Processor, you will be an integral part of our dynamic claims team and will:
Work directly with customers to successfully resolve assigned claims.
Communicate and work within a team environment and with various levels of leadership throughout the department and the organization.
Complete state-mandated forms or letters timely and accurately to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Administer claim benefits through interpretation and analysis of the insurance contract and evaluating exposures for setting reserves to fulfill our contractual obligations.
Qualifications:
We are looking for high-energy professionals who are ready to jump start their career. The ideal Claim Processor will possess most of the following skills and attributes:
Minimum 1+ years experience in a customer service environment, with an emphasis in providing exceptional customer service.
This is a fast-paced, high-volume position, so the ability to handle multiple and competing priorities simultaneously is needed.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Employees will work in a collaborative team environment, however, should possess the skills to be able to make independent decisions.
This position resides in a heavy phone volume environment where the ability to gather and process information quickly is important. (Mainly outbound calls or return phone calls from customers).
Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers, while consistently demonstrating honesty, integrity, courtesy and respect when interacting with others.
Effective decision making ability is a must, including strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
Obtain and maintain P&C licensing to handle claims in required states. (Hartford provides training and pays for cost to obtain and maintain state licensing.)
Knowledge of and proficiency with MS Office.
College degree preferred. High School Diploma/GED is required.

As a condition of your employment, you must obtain and maintain a State Adjuster's License to process Property & Casualty Insurance Claims in the states supported by your office. Continued employment with The Hartford is contingent upon the successfully passing the Licensing exam(s) within 30 business days from the completion of the licensing training.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
