About the role

Description

The Department of Communication and Journalism in the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas A&M University invites applications for two Visiting Lecturer positions starting August 1, 2025.  These positions are full-time, 9-months, non-tenure accruing positions. Responsibilities for these positions include a teaching load of four public speaking and/or argumentation courses per semester.  Salary for Visting Lecturers will be commensurate with entry-level instructors and positions may be renewable.  

The Department of Communication and Journalism offers PhD, MA, BA, and BS degrees, and has over 40 faculty members, more than 40 graduate students, and over 1,700 undergraduate students. Qualifications

Completed master's or Ph.D. in Communication or related discipline is required. Successful candidates will possess a strong pedagogical background for teaching public speaking and argumentation. Candidates with a master's must also have significant teaching experience at the college level in communication or a related field.
