Sr. Service Delivery Technician: Become the Newest Member of the VF Family

The primary responsibility of the Senior Service Delivery Technician is to enable VF associates to use technology that allows them to work more efficiently.  As a Senior Service Delivery Technician, you are expected to be an escalation point for the EUS team, collaborate with other senior technicians in order to address technical issues, and operate as a stand-in for the Service Deliver Manager.  A Senior Service Delivery Technician must have an excellent knowledge of computer hardware and software, and a demonstrated willingness to learn and apply new technology. 

 

How You Will Make a Difference: 

• Identify, triage, and resolve the most complex technical problems. 

• Assist delivery manager with directing and leading the day-to-day activities of other IT staff.

• Provide support to end users for computer, application, system, device, access and hardware issues. 

• Accurately, document, track, and monitor issues using applicable systems and tools. 

• Assist with training and coaching of other IT staff.

• Installation and Support of company required hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, VoIP, scanners, phones, tablets) and software.

• Support maintaining an accurate stockroom inventory.

• Monitor hardware and application performance based on expected benchmarks and provide feedback to the EUS Leadership

• Gather requirements when leading project teams to ensure solutions will be scalable and repeatable in a large enterprise environment

• Assist users with new technology training when introducing new offerings (MFA, OneDrive, Self Service, Etc..) helping the VF workforce to adapt and embrace technology to work more efficiently

• Provide leadership and process creation as needed for tech bar services

• Support conferencing/collaboration technology leveraging VF solutions of Audio/Visual displays, Zoom, telephony configuration and deployment following VF standards

·       Work effectively with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, identify, and resolve issues.

• Accept and lead various projects, develop work plans, and ensure timely completion as directed by leadership. 

• Other duties as assigned. 

Years of Related Professional Experience: 5-7 years

 

Educational/ Position Requirements: 

• Preferably a 4-year degree in Computer Science or related technology field

• Technical certifications such as MCSE, MCTS, A+, Cisco preferred

• Ability to lead peers in collaborate teams

• 5 or more years in IS/IT environment, In depth technical knowledge of workstation hardware and software, printers, network, mobile devices and peripheral equipment such as scanners, tape-drive, etc.

• Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure and time constraints

• Critical thinking and analytical skills are required; ability to apply systems knowledge to troubleshoot and analyze new issues is critical

• Must be a self-starter, able to work independently with a proactive working style

• Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements: 

• Potential to travel by air and overnight, as required 30% amount of time. 

  Lifting and/or bending, lifting 10 lbs of weight. 

Hiring Range:

$29.38 USD - $36.72 USD per hour

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
