We are a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Facility Supervisor. This position reports to Operations Manager and will work in Litchfield, Illinois.

About the position

As a Facility Supervisor in the Operations team, you will be involved in the overall maintenance of the equipment, building, grounds, and facility infrastructure which includes packaging equipment, racking, forklifts, and office building.

Your main responsibilities

  • Manages all building systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management
  • Supervise, motivate and provide direct leadership to maintenance team for the purpose of maintaining facilities and equipment, service functions, and production supplies.
  • Supervise the operating budgets for facilities, maintenance and production supplies.
  • Continuously reduce costs in facilities and equipment maintenance, service functions, and production supplies.
  • Analyze equipment and process MTTR, Downtime/MTBF, and develop, enhance and execute a successful preventive maintenance program.
  • Develop maintenance skilled staff organization to execute best in class PM, TPM and uptime strategies. Analyze organizational maintenance skill and organizational requirements. Develop and execute strategies to improve business KPI as set by team.
  • Continuously review downtime data to identify corrective actions to improve uptime.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturers and suppliers for equipment quotes, maintenance, and other outside services.
  • Support maintenance staff by sourcing and ordering spare parts, and arranging for outside support and services as needed.
  • Actively contribute to the successful supervision of the plant's processes and employees by offering support and feedback to employees in all departments.
  • Develop, plan and lead capital projects as assigned.
  • Be the lead resource in managing utilities and energy conservation projects.
  • Ensure that waste management and recycling is timely, efficient and cost-effective.
  • Demonstrate active involvement in and commitment to a progressive health and safety culture and environment.

    A suitable background would be a candidate that has experience within Industrial & Facilities Maintenance – as well as the following qualifications and experiences:

    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
    • General industrial maintenance (electro-mechanical) and supervisory experience preferred
    • Lean or Lean Six Sigma training certification a plus
    • Working knowledge of general plant engineering and maintenance required
    • Functional knowledge of manufacturing processes including packaging, and forklift operations
    • Functional understanding of measurement equipment
    • Environmental and Safety experience including understanding of OSHA regulations
    • Strong organizational and project management skills
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
    • Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation
    • Strong proficiency with MS Office programs including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint; and the ability to learn other applications quickly.
    • Ability to be on call 24/7
