FLSA Classification: Full time, Non-exempt, Hourly $33.80-$55.00 per hour

The working environment is a hospital setting with exposure to patients, residents, and families; sharps, infectious diseases, biological and chemical hazards; machinery and equipment; and potentially extreme temperatures and noise levels. Essential Functions
- Support the Quality Director in the day-to-day administrative functions of the Quality & Risk Department.
- Support the Quality of Director in all phases of the project lifecycle across departmental projects: initiation, planning, execution, control, and closing.
- Assist the Quality Director in responding to pertinent quality or patient safety issues.
- Retrieve, interpret, and summarize medical records related to quality or risk cases.
- Collect, manipulate, and analyze data for quality improvement or regulatory reporting.
- Assist with the development, testing, use, and validation of data collection methodologies.
- Abstract patient records and construct datasets for quality improvement projects.
- Generate easy-to-read visualizations based on retrieved data.
- Assist in the design and teaching of quality and risk topics to the general hospital population.
- Regularly present data in a non-technical manner to clinical and non-clinical team members.
- Partner with interdisciplinary teams to drive clinical excellence through data.
- Assist in maintaining regulatory compliance with reporting and clinical performance.
- Monitor the progress of quality improvement projects and apply course corrections as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Unencumbered RN license valid in Colorado
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Current CPHQ certification or willingness to obtain within one year of hire.
- Excellent computer skills required, including Office 365 and EMRs (i.e. Meditech).
- Project management experience in a healthcare or other Agile setting preferred.
- At least one year of clinical informatics or clinical quality work experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Colorado and Federal regulatory requirements for clinical quality reporting.
- Working knowledge or willingness to learn statistical or query-based languages is a plus, such as R, SQL, or Python.
