Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Project Manager for the Piscataway, NJ, Chelmsford, MA, Amherst, NY, Buffalo, NY, Louisville, KY or Providence, RI office. This full-time position within our Environmental group will lead a team to help manage a variety of oil and gas investigation/remediation projects with oversight from senior managers and technical experts. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate investigation/remediation project experience and require a strong focus on health and safety, be detailed orientated, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, and will be capable of working collaboratively in a high-performance team.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Health and safety stewardship, including local field visitsManaging scope, schedule, and budget for small to mid-sized investigation/remediation projects. Building strong client relationships. Client and regulatory correspondenceTechnical report writing and review. Analyzes and applies solutions to atypical and/or semi-complex and challenging issues within area of expertise. Preparing cost estimates and proposals Working effectively with project teams, clients, and all other stakeholders. Coordinating work schedules with AECOM staff and subcontractors. Responsible for quality control of tasks Mentor project Jr. staff Will require some regional travel for field visits. Supervise up to 10 staff. This position requires both office and field work; the successful candidate should expect to be out in the field up to 30% of the time mentoring junior staff. Remote work is an option if applicable to project responsibilities. Field work may be performed at project sites with environmental media (e.g., soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, etc.) that has been impacted with hazardous substances and/or hazardous wastes. Construction tasks will include the abandonment or decommissioning of surface and subsurface facilities or related assets.
