Position Overview
BayCare Medical Group, the largest and most respected physician-led medical group in the Tampa Bay area, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Advanced Practice Provider to join our Advanced Heart Failure Program based at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing team dedicated to supporting an established Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) program, which is integrated within a newly developed, system-connected heart failure infrastructure. The leadership of the healthcare system has recently expanded its commitment to include comprehensive support for all modalities of advanced heart failure care.
In this role, the APP will work collaboratively with Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologists and a multidisciplinary care team, providing care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The position offers a balanced clinical experience and the opportunity to develop a subspecialty focus within advanced heart failure care.
Position Highlights:
Balanced combination of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
Ability to find a niche within the AHF group: cardiomyopathies, mechanical circulatory support, and transplantation
Collaboration with cardiovascular diseases specialties, cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a CVICU or CCU setting
Demonstrated experience in managing Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) patients and Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) patients
- Acute Care Certification or NCCPA
Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Florida
Preferred Candidate Attributes:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
