Mechanical Designer

A+S is seeking a Mechanical Designer with at least 2 years of designer or project manager experience working with HVAC and using CAD. Salary is $72,500. The Mechanical Designer will work under the supervision of a senior engineer.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems, including equipment selection, for a variety of projects.
• Analyze system options and evaluate existing systems where appropriate.
• Coordinate project document completion within A+S and externally with clients.
• Complete design in accordance with code. Production is performed using AutoCAD and Revit depending on preference of architect.
• Participate in construction phase services including answering RFIs, reviewing submittals and shop drawings, participating in project walk-throughs, and providing field assessment reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or Architectural Engineering with a Mechanical focus).
• At least 2 years of designer or project manager experience working with HVAC systems and using CAD software.
